bio

Tony Rangel, originally from northern IL, now calls MN home, where he lives with his wife and daughter.  He graduated summa cum laude at Luther College and holds a master's degree in vocal music education from the University of St. Thomas.

Tony has directed middle & high school choral programs at Columbia Heights and Robbinsdale Armstrong and has sung in a variety of Twin Cities Ensembles. He has served as assistant director at Mt. Olivet Lutheran Church, working with high school and adult singers, and has written online professional development and graduate-level courses for music educators via Forward Motion Online Learning.  Currently, he is assistant director for Kantorei, an adult chamber ensemble based in the Twin Cities.

After choir, Tony's second love is the lake, where you will often find him fishing, skiing, and paddle boarding.
